New site and branding launched

Welcome to our new site! We hope you’re able to find everything you’re looking for. It may help to check out our FAQs.

We’re excited to share our new logo and branding, which reflects our evolution as a publisher. Our new strapline, ‘Opening up humanities research’, communicates our commitment to publishing and promoting humanities research to a diverse range of audiences, through innovative publishing models and a predominantly open access publishing programme to enable the widest possible readership. Our rebrand introduces a modern and vibrant logo and an updated mission statement, as well as this new website. Visitors can purchase and download books, browse series, learn about the publishing model, read testimonials from existing authors, or submit proposals for consideration. Additionally, a selection of our open access books can be read and engaged with in a variety of ways online through our instance of the Manifold scholarly publishing platform, which was established with support from the University of Minnesota Press and the Manifold team.

The rebrand is a result of a close collaboration between the Press team and freelance designer and brand creative, Nicky Borowiec. Nicky said of the project:

“I’m delighted to have collaborated with the University of London Press to create a brand that aligns with their progressive and community-focused strategy. Developed from our work to shape the Press’s purpose and personality, the new brand was built from the foundation up to communicate the mission of the Press. The new logotype  – maintaining a subtle but important link to the University – reflects the open and friendly style you’ll see across the board. I’m proud of the vibrant, approachable design that reflects the position and voice of the Press within the humanities and look forward to this new brand providing a platform for the Press’s work for years to come.”
