How to market your academic book

In this session, we help demystify the marketing process for first-time authors. It covers common questions such as: what can you expect your publisher to do to market your academic book – and what will they expect from you? What makes a good marketing brief? What marketing activities can authors do that will really make a difference in terms of sales and downloads? What is a book launch really for and how can you make a success of it?

Session leaders:

Katharine Nelson (Sales and Marketing Manager, University of London Press) and Faridha Karim (Publications Officer, University of London Press)
